This article will attempt to assist you in configuring your email account with your iPhone.
  1. Click on the "Settings" icon on your phone.
  2. Click on "Mail, Contacts Calendars"
  3. Click "Add Mail Account"
  4. Click on "Other"
  5. Enter the following:
    1. Name: This the name that will appear when sending name. Typically your full name.
    2. Address: Your full email address
    3. Password: your email password
    4. Description: Used to identify which mail account your viewing when using the phone.
  6. Click "Next" in the top right of the screen.
  7. Select "IMAP"
  8. Incoming mail server settings
    1. Hostname:  mail.yourdomain.com   (i.e. if your domain was madrooster.com, the setting would be mail.madrooster.com)
    2. Username: Your full email address
    3. Password: Your email password (This maybe auto-filled, but its always a good idea to retype it).
  9. Outgoing mail server settings
    1. Hostname:  mail.yourdomain.com   (i.e. if your domain was madrooster.com, the setting would be mail.madrooster.com)
    2. Username: Your full email address
    3. Password: Your email password (This maybe auto-filled, but its always a good idea to retype it).
  10. Click "Save".  At this point your iPhone will attempt to connect to the server and verify your email settings. You will see a "Verifying" message at the top of your screen with a spinning circle on the left side. After a few minutes, an alert box pops up with the message "Cannot Connect Using SSL, Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?". Click "Yes". There will be another delay of a few minutes, and then the same alert box will pop up. Click "Yes" again and your settings should be verified. Please note that this process may take some time, so keep waiting unless a different error message pops up.
  11. Turn Mail on. Turn off Notes
  12. Click "Save"
  13. Click on the mail account you created from the list.
  14. Click on "Advance"
  15. Set Use SSL to "Off"
  16. Authentication to "Password"
  17. Port: 143
  18. Click "Done"
  19. Click on "Outgoing Mail Server"  (Should say SMTP: mail.yourdomain.com)
  20. Click on "mail.yourdomain.com"
  21. Set Use SSL to "Off"
  22. Authentication to "Password"
  23. Port: 26
  24. Click "Done"
  25. Click "Done" a second time to take you back to the Accounts list.
You can now exit back to your home screen and launch the mail program.  This should allow you to see your email as well as send email from your iPhone.
